Gensler Office, Washington DC
Two of the main design criteria of Gensler's new Washington DC office were to have an open plan for the studio space with multiple options for collaboration and informal team meetings. The other goal was to have the public spaces, reception and conference areas, that could be easily reconfigured to accommodate a variety of different types of activities.
With the offices inboard of the perimeter, studio spaces had exterior views and natural light. The public, conference areas utilized a garage door and several large sliding door/walls to enable these spaces to accommodate any type of function.
