Proposed Expansion - Duke Catholic Center

Duke Catholic Center

The current Duke Catholic Center was interested in expanding their facility and when the large property next door became available. We provided them with a comprehensive design retrofitting the house and site to accommodate their needs.

The adjacent house was built in 1907 in the Arts and Craft style and the large interior spaces could be easily reconfigured to create a new larger chapel and music/multipurpose room in addition to residential rooms and generous kitchen.

The property's adjacent location also offered the opportunity to create a private grotto/garden space.  The two houses would be linked by an enclosed glass walkway.  The property's backyard would be transformed into a large exterior gathering space.  These new interior /exterior amenity spaces would allow the facility to function as a campus like facility.
